$2.5 billion Jack in the Box has elected David Goebel to its board of directors, effective immediately.
Goebel has 35 years of experience in the retail, food service, and hospitality industries, including most recently serving as president and CEO of Applebee’s International. Goebel joined Applebee’s in 2001 as senior vice president of franchise operations. He then held several positions of increasing responsibility, including executive vice president of operations, chief operating officer, and president. He was promoted to CEO in 2006 and held that position until the company was acquired by IHOP Corp. in November 2007.
