The E.W. Scripps Company has elected former Ashland CFO J. Marvin Quin to its board of directors. He replaces David Moffett, who resigned to become CEO of Freddie Mac in November.

Quin retired from Ashland in May 2008 after 36 years with the Covington-based company. Originally appointed as treasurer in 1983, Quin was promoted to CFO in 1992.
