$1.5 billion Belo Corp, a pure play television company, has promoted Russell Coleman to senior vice president and general counsel.

Most recently, Coleman was vice president and general counsel, a position he has held since July 2003. He also will remain as assistant secretary, reporting to Guy Kerr.
