$65 billion Zurich Financial Services, based in Switzerland, has appointed Carol Siegfried to the newly created position of chief risk officer, North America, effective Oct. 1. Siegfried, who will be based in New York, becomes responsible for ensuring consistency and standardization of methods, processes, and tools throughout the whole North America region.

She will report to Axel Lehmann, group chief risk officer, and Keitha Schofield, CEO and president of Zurich’s shared services organization in North America.
