Société Générale announced the promotion of Stéphane Landon to group chief risk officer, effective Dec. 1.

Landon will report to Group Chief Executive Frédéric Oudéa and remain a member of the management committee.

He previously held the role of group deputy chief risk officer since October 2020 and replaces Sadia Ricke, who is departing the company for Standard Chartered.

Landon has served at Société Générale since 1989. In his time with the company, both in France and internationally, Landon has contributed to the development of the group’s activities while maintaining a risk profile that meets banking industry standards.
