An alleged lack of compliance due diligence at Extreme Networks (EN) led the company to commit multiple sanctions violations, the US Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the US Department of Justice (DOJ) said, imposing penalties on EN of more than $2.5 million.
The company agreed to pay the DOJ penalties as part of a non-prosecution agreement (NPA), the DOJ announced Tuesday in a news release.
