Compliance Week on Tuesday announced the hiring of Julie DiMauro as its new Director of Compliance Programs & Training. DiMauro will play a leading role in planning all live and virtual CW events in addition to developing online training and compliance education programs.
DiMauro joins CW after spending 10 years at Thomson Reuters as a subject matter expert in their risk and compliance department. She served in many roles at TR, including as a regulatory intelligence expert and senior editor, and she was the managing editor at the FCPA Blog, where she now serves as a contributor.
DiMauro is a graduate of the University of Vermont and holds a JD from American University. She is a frequent guest lecturer at Pace University and an industry speaker on a variety of topics, including third-party risk management, data privacy, financial crime, and ESG investing.
DiMauro is skilled at programming compliance-related virtual events and in-person conferences, recruiting speakers, creating compliance training courses, and interviewing industry thought leaders.
“We are thrilled to have Julie join CW, and we are confident she will help us build new and exciting compliance training programs and help accelerate our rate of growth in the online and live conference business,” said Stephen Moylan, Managing Director at CW.
One of DiMauro’s first jobs will be to help program CW’s upcoming Cyber-risk & Data Privacy Summit coming up in late January.
“I am so happy to be joining Compliance Week, a dynamic company that values initiative and is focused on designing the events, tools, and information that compliance and audit professionals want and need today,” DiMauro said. “I look forward to being a part of CW’s growing business and interacting closely with their partners and community.”
DiMauro will start in her new role at CW on Nov. 16.
