The results are in—and the 2015 Governance, Risk and Compliance Survey suggests there are competing priorities between chief audit executives (CAEs) and audit committees.

There’s a disconnect between audit committee members and CAEs when prioritizing audit risks. Audit committee members rate financial and compliance highly, while CAEs focus on compliance and operational risks. Data shows other areas where the two groups are out of sync. So the question is: How can they become more aligned?

In this survey report, we recommend various strategies, tactics and tools to help CAEs gain efficiencies and derive more value from their organization's compliance efforts. Ultimately, they’ll optimize the internal audit process and free up limited resources to meet both audit committee and CAE objectives.
