B2R Finance, a lender for single-family rental property investors, announced that Brad Weber has joined the company as chief accounting officer, reporting to Chief Financial Officer Darren Thompson. In his role, Weber will lead the accounting, reporting and control functions, as well as human resources and regulatory compliance. He will also be a member of the Executive Committee, which is comprised of the company’s senior-most leadership team.

He will be based in Charlotte at B2R’s headquarters.

Weber brings nearly three decades of experience in the financial services industry to B2R Finance, most recently serving as controller of Bank of America where he was also head of the legal entity reporting team and was responsible for coordinating monthly financial reporting and governance processes for the primary legal entities and all management reporting for Bank of America, N.A. He also served as senior vice president of accounting policy at the company. Weber also served as the CFO of Parks & Company, a high-growth technology and business consulting company.

Prior to Bank of America, Weber was a senior manager and engagement team leader in the Consumer Finance Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he provided audit and consultation support to financial services clients on a variety of complex accounting topics and led loan system integrations and general ledger implementations. He was also a frequent speaker on accounting and operational subjects including mortgage servicing rights, fair value of loans and financial instruments, derivatives and hedge accounting, and compliance with evolving mortgage serving regulations.

Weber earned his B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a certified public accountant in North Carolina.
