Contractor Management Services, a provider of compliance software and payment settlement services for companies that use independent contractors, has appointed Rebecca Collins as general counsel and chief compliance officer.

Collins will serve on the executive team and will be a key advisor on legal and compliance matters and strategic business planning. She will also oversee CMS' risk management and human resource functions.

Collins brings more than 20 years of legal experience to CMS, including 15 years as in-house counsel. Most recently, she served as deputy general counsel and vice president of human resources at NJOY, where she provided legal, regulatory, and compliance advice and also managed the company's HR department. Prior to working at NJOY, Collins was sernior associate general counsel at General Dynamics, where she focused almost exclusively on labor and employment matters, including independent contractor classification issues, mergers and acquisitions, and compliance.
