Danske Bank has appointed Carsten Egeriis as its new chief risk officer. He will head group risk management and will join Danske Bank’s executive board by Sept. 1.

He succeeds Gilbert Kohnke, who joined Danske Bank two years ago and will be leaving his position for personal reasons. Kohnke will continue as CRO until Egeriis takes over.

Egeriis will joiin Danske Bank from Barclays UK in London, where he has held various positions over the past ten years, most recently serving as chief risk officer. He also previously held chief risk officer roles at GE Money Bank in Germany, and GE Capital in Portugal.
