Australia-based financial institution Westpac announced Group General Counsel and Enterprise Executive Rebecca Lim has decided to step down and move to a part-time advisory role.

Lim will continue in her current capacity until a replacement has been appointed to ensure a smooth transition. She has worked nearly 10 years as general counsel.

“Rebecca has made a significant contribution to Westpac across various senior roles,” said Westpac Group CEO Peter King in a press release. “For the past decade as General Counsel, Rebecca has played a pivotal role in navigating the company through various legal and regulatory challenges, including BBSW, responsible lending, the Royal Commission and AUSTRAC.”

A global search is underway for Lim’s replacement.
