Black Knight, a provider of integrated software, data, and analytics to the mortgage and real estate industries, announced Ryan Hallett has been appointed chief risk officer. Hallett will assume this position from Peter Hill, who served in this role for six years and recently retired.

Hallett, who joined the company six years ago, previously served as deputy chief risk officer, where she led enterprise risk governance, identity and access management and the ERM Project Management Office. In her new role, Hallett will lead Black Knight’s ERM group, where she will be responsible for enhancing and executing on the company’s strategic security and risk management plans, including identifying and mitigating potential business risks; overseeing physical security of Black Knight’s campuses; and managing the company’s enterprise business continuity efforts.

Hallett has more than 20 years of experience in the information-technology industry, including 10 years in the financial services industry establishing long-term information-security strategies, risk governance programs, and enterprise programs and processes.
