Financial technology firm BlueOnion, a subsidiary of WealthAsia, announced the appointment of Jeanne Ng as chief sustainability officer, via a LinkedIn post. 

With 30 years of sustainability experience, Ng will be responsible for strengthening the company’s climate and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) modeling. 

She will also promote clarity for asset managers’ stewardship and asset owners’ responsible investment decisions.

Ng brings almost a decade of consulting experience in Hong Kong’s environmental industry and helped develop Hong Kong’s first greenhouse gas inventory manual for the city-state’s government, according her BlueOnion profile.

Before joining BlueOnion, she was the director of CLP Research Institute, where she spearheaded its group environmental affairs, group sustainability, and research institute functions.

Ng is also a founding chair of the Hong Kong Institute of Qualified Environmental Professionals, which was formed to support the creation and development of the environmental professional industry in Hong Kong and beyond.
