Global cruise line operator Carnival Corp. announced Arnaldo Perez has stepped down as general counsel. Perez will remain at Carnival as senior vice president and company secretary, according to a regulatory filing.

Perez has served as Carnival’s general counsel since 1995. In the role, he was responsible for the legal affairs of the company, which operates nine worldwide cruise brands.

Enrique Miguez, vice president and deputy general counsel at Carnival since 2003, will take over as general counsel.
