The U.K. Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) appointed Chris Prevett as permanent general counsel, having undertaken the role on an interim basis since July 2022.

Prevett has been with the CMA since its inception in 2014 and was previously a senior legal director and legal director.

Prior to this, he was a senior lawyer in private practice at Travers Smith and Slaughter and May.
