The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced the swearing in of Karla Gilbride as general counsel.

Gilbride was nominated by President Joe Biden in January and later confirmed by the Senate for a four-year term.

Previously, she worked at the nonprofit organization Public Justice, where she served as co-director of the Access to Justice Project. Before that, Gilbride worked as an associate at Mehri & Skalet on wage, hour, and employment discrimination cases, as well as consumer class actions and cases brought under the Fair Housing Act. She also spent three years at Disability Rights Advocates in California.
