Eiger BioPharmaceuticals announced the appointment of Erik Atkisson as general counsel and chief compliance officer.

Atkisson brings over 20 years of experience to Eiger. He was most recently chief compliance officer, legal counsel, and privacy officer at Cytokinetics, where he was responsible for legal matters related to corporate securities, licensing, partnerships and collaborations, and compliance.

Previously, Atkisson has held legal roles at Nevro Corp., Imbax Laboratories, and BioMarin Pharmaceutical.
