First Business Bank named Laura Garcia chief risk officer. She joins the company after working most recently for Bank of Montreal.

Garcia brings 25 years of experience in credit and compliance to the role. She also has experience working in sales, developing training programs, serving as a mentor, and in community engagement.

She will be focusing on credit, compliance, and loan review responsibilities with First Business Bank.

Over her career, she’s worked on many large projects, including leading Bank of Montreal’s Commercial PPP lending operation.
