Electric services company FirstEnergy Corp. recently announced a series of management changes, including the appointment of Ebony Yeboah-Amankwah to serve as vice president, general counsel and chief ethics officer.

Yeboah-Amankwah succeeds Robert Reffner, who was promoted to senior vice president and chief legal officer among the changes, which will take effect May 24. Reffner, who will report to CEO Charles Jones, will continue to lead the Corporate, Legal, Information & Compliance and Real Estate departments and will now oversee Risk & Internal Auditing.

Yeboah-Amankwah will report to Reffner. She joined FirstEnergy in 2005 and was named vice president, deputy general counsel, corporate secretary and chief ethics officer in 2018.

Among other changes, Steven Strah was elected by the board of directors to serve as president at FirstEnergy. K. Jon Taylor was elected senior vice president and chief financial officer and will oversee accounting, treasury, and investor relations.
