Puerto Rico-based FV Bank, a blockchain financial technology company, announced the appointment of Luz Mabel del Valle as chief risk officer and deputy chief compliance officer.

She will serve on the executive team and lead all risk management functions, including financial, product, operational, and enterprise risk.

Del Valle brings more than 20 years of expertise in bank operations, risk analysis, and management, previously serving as chief compliance and accounting officer at Encanto Group, CCO at Stern International Bank, and principal examiner at the Puerto Rico Department of Treasure’s Office of the Commissioner of Financial Institutions.
