The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) announced the departure of Kenneth Lench as general counsel.

Lench served in the role since February 2020, leading the office that represents the agency in litigation and regulatory matters, assists in launching its advisory groups, and spearheads key rulemakings. He will be succeeded by Deputy General Counsel James Cappoli on an acting basis.

The PCAOB separately announced the departure of Raymond Hamm, deputy director of the Division of Enforcement and Investigations, later this month. Hamm joined the PCAOB in December 2003 and was its first enforcement accountant.
