Metallurgical coal producer Ramaco Resources announced it hired Evan Jenkins as its new general counsel.
Jenkins was the former chief justice of the West Virginia Supreme Court, a former two-term U.S. congressman, and a longtime West Virginia state legislator. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of government affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C.
For the past two years, he served as president of The Ramaco Foundation and a member of its board of directors.
