Upside Foods recruits Twitter GC for chief legal officer role

With 20 years of legal experience, Edgett previously served as Twitter’s general counsel for more than a decade, overseeing litigation, regulatory compliance, corporate law, and intellectual property. At Upside, he will lead all aspects of legal, compliance, intellectual property, and regulatory and government affairs.

Notably, he led the legal work for dozens of merger and acquisition transactions during his tenure at Twitter, played a key role in the company’s initial public offer in 2013, and guided its recent sale.

Prior to Twitter, Edgett was a legal director at NetApp and an attorney at Latham & Watkins.
