Lieberman Software has announced a software integration initiative that gives enterprise organizations the ability to securely manage powerful privileged accounts from within the System Center environment.

Specifically, Lieberman Software provides management packs for Enterprise Random Password Manager and Random Password Manager, as well as privileged account password management directly from the consoles of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 and Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007.

Lieberman Software’s privileged account password solutions extend the value of the Microsoft System Center infrastructure in three key ways:

Confirm regulatory compliance and service level completion. Security compliance regulations call for frequent changes to privileged account passwords to prevent unauthorized personnel from being able to access mission-critical systems. Enterprise Random Password Manager and Random Password Manager help organizations accomplish this mandate by identifying and tracking where credentials are used and scheduling regular password changes that comprehensively impact every system, application, and object affected by the change. By enabling Enterprise Random Password Manager and Random Password Manager to be managed and monitored by Microsoft System Center Operations Manager through a management pack provided by Lieberman Software, customers will receive real-time alerts should external factors, such as network or database problems, cause disruptions to regulatory-based Service Level Agreements requirements.

Alert administrators to privileged account activity. Lieberman products integrate seamlessly with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager to alert administrators to what users and the Help Desk are doing with privileged accounts from a single console. Enterprise Random Password Manager and Random Password Manager feed events to Systems Center based on password change, password verification, and password check-in/check-out job results. Customers are able to use these events to automatically open and close trouble tickets based on end-user behavior and system responses to password management tasks.

Retrieve administrator passwords directly from Microsoft system center console. Regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley and PCI DSS require that privileged accounts be secure and have limited and audited access. The users of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager have a need for this information as part of their operational duties. By integrating Enterprise Random Password Manager and Random Password Manager into the GUI shell of System Center Operations Manager and System Center Configuration Manager, without going outside of the System Center environment, access to privileged accounts is quick and secure.
