Chief ethics and compliance officers seeking real-life stories of corruption that they can embed into their existing online anti-bribery compliance training will want to check out a new anti-bribery training film from Front-Line Anti-Bribery, in association with Mastercard.

The 11-minute film, “Behind the Bribe: The Richard Bistrong Story,” is told through the first-hand perspectives of Richard Bistrong, former FCPA violator and FBI/U.K. cooperator, and Keith Slotter, former Chief of the FBI’s Global Financial Crimes Program. Produced in association with MasterCard, the film is the first of its kind, including real-world perspectives and multinational participation.

Mastercard engaged a production company to depict chapters of my Bistrong's FCPA violations, eventual guilty plea, and fourteen and a half month prison sentence. In the film, Bistrong shares how he “took compliance decisions into his own hands,” while Slotter reflects on his experience investigating FCPA cases.

Karen Griffin, executive vice president and chief compliance officer at Mastercard, said, “We recognized the need to move beyond the traditional classroom exercise to help our teams understand the potential impact of bribery and compliance events. Richard’s story delivered just that, and we’re looking at ways to continue to build on this film to continue to reinforce other learning moments.”

That anti-bribery training film is now available for short- and long-term licensing from Front-Line Anti-Bribery, in association with Mastercard, and is designed for use by any company in any industry, and in any location. Furthemore, the film can be customized to meet an organization's needs.
