MEGA International, a global software firm, has introduced HOPEX GDPR, a practical toolbox developed in partnership with Gruppo Imperiali, to help companies meet the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements quickly and efficiently.

MEGA and Gruppo Imperiali created the solution to help companies demonstrate that their compliance systems satisfy the GDPR’s new approach to processing personal data. HOPEX GDPR will simplify how companies can meet the requirements and guide them toward GDPR compliance.

MEGA is the first enterprise architecture (EA) vendor to build a GDPR solution with specific features for key GDPR user roles such as the data protection officer. It is also the first to incorporate content and templates from recognized data privacy legal experts, and permit customers to ask questions of those experts in real-time.

The collaboration provides Gruppo Imperiali’s specialized GDPR legal and regulatory content and allows MEGA customers to get tailored advice from the group’s legal experts.

HOPEX GDPR will provide the capability to:

Assemble detailed knowledge of people, processes, and technology across the entire company;

Access the most up-to-date legal information about GDPR;

Create a ‘single source of truth’ in a centralized repository and a collaborative workspace easily accessed by the entire GDPR team; and

Marshal information from data and business process modeling, gap analysis, and risk assessments into GDPR compliance reports that become ongoing priority action plans.

The MEGA solution is GDPR-specific and draws on the advanced mapping and documentation capabilities of the HOPEX platform, providing a collaborative workspace for data protection officers and other compliance leaders across the organization. From HOPEX GDPR, they can centrally manage various aspects of GDPR compliance, including data inventory, business process analysis, risk assessment and compliance reporting.
