The National Investor Relations Institute, professional association of corporate officers and investor relations consultants, this week appointed James Cudahy to be its next president and CEO, effective March 2, 2015. He will succeed Jeffrey Morgan, who resigned in October to become CEO of the Club Managers Association of America.

Cudahy currently serves as executive director and CEO for the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA), an organization that certifies stenographic court reporters and broadcast captioners while protecting and advancing their professional interests. At NCRA, Cudahy manages a staff of 35 and a $7 million budget.

With 24 years working in and around associations, Cudahy's experience includes nine years at CFA Institute as vice president of marketing and communications. There, among his responsibilities, he was responsible for engineering campaigns to build wider recognition and appreciation of the Chartered Financial Analyst credential on a global basis.
