Weaver, an independent accounting firm, recently launched a new IT advisory service that provides payment card industry (PCI) data security assessments.

Brian Thomas and Brittany George, both in Weaver’s IT advisory services, have met the necessary requirements to earn the Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) certification from the PCI Security Standards Council.

QSA companies are organizations that have been qualified by the Council to have their employees assess compliance with the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Qualified security assessors are employees of these organizations who have been certified by the Council to validate an entity’s adherence to the PCI DSS.

Thomas has more than 15 years of experience in management consulting and risk advisory services. With experience managing teams delivering IT-focused services—such as SOC reporting, information security assessments, IT audits, IT governance and project management services—he brings diverse knowledge and technical skills to his clients. His responsibilities currently include the management and development of Weaver’s IT advisory practice, and he is involved in all aspects of the business.

George is a senior manager in Weaver’s IT advisory services practice. She has more than 11 years of experience in IT auditing and consulting services. She performs security assessments, SOC 2 services, IT audit and process improvement consulting services across numerous industries.
