JBS, the largest meat processing company in the world, appointed Maurício Bauer as corporate sustainability officer.

Bauer will carry out the company’s sustainability strategy in Brazil in line with JBS’s global targets. He will report to Marcela Rocha, executive officer for corporate affairs.

Previously, Bauer served as the senior director for beef and leather supply chain for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in Washington, D.C.
