Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Compliance Week has decided to reimagine its national conference to reflect the new reality around travel restrictions and large gatherings. We will host our first-ever virtual conference online from May 18-19, with at least a dozen interactive sessions covering a wide range of topics that you can watch and participate in from your home office. Just like the in-person event, these sessions will include high-quality panels, C-Suite-level insights, and will qualify for continuing education credits. We will add additional online and webcast offerings over the summer to keep you connected, educated and informed as we move into the fall. We will provide you with a stream of content offerings from now through the end of the year.

In addition, we are working on plans to hold a smaller, more exclusive event in the fall (dates to be determined when travel bans are lifted and it is safe for small conferences to run) to recognize thought leaders in our industry and to hear from the best and brightest in compliance. This select gathering will be at the familiar Mayflower Hotel and will provide the educational opportunities, thought leadership, and peer-to-peer networking you’ve come to expect from Compliance Week.

We will send additional details out as soon as possible.

We’re all in this together, and we’re taking it day-by-day, week-by-week, just like you. We appreciate your understanding and are working diligently to give you easy access to great content and valuable resources.

March 12: Update on CW National Conference

We’re still “all systems go,” planning for the conference to be held on schedule and start May 18. Compliance Week is actively monitoring developments with the coronavirus, keeping a close eye on government guidance, state and local announcements, and listening to feedback from registrants and sponsors. We are also talking to the hotel about implementing additional safeguards and are monitoring companies’ travel restrictions. The safety of all of our conference attendees, sponsors, speakers, and staff is our top priority.

We’re all in the same boat here. These are uncharted waters we’re navigating, hoping for the best but preparing to alter our course if needed. As of today, we are staying on target for May 18 and hope to get good news for clear sailing by early April.

We’ll keep you updated on our plans as news warrants. We feel it best to run the event when everyone feels safe and comfortable traveling and participating in a learning atmosphere. If signs point to that not being the case in mid-May, we’ll do the right thing. Rest assured that if you are registered for the conference and conditions force us to postpone it, you will receive a voucher to attend the rescheduled event or a pass for any of our other conferences.

If you have questions, please email us at conferences@complianceweek.com. We look forward to seeing you later this spring!

March 12 update: TRPM New York event postponed

Out of an abundance of caution due to the coronavirus pandemic, we have made the difficult but important decision to postpone the Third-Party Risk Management & Oversight Summit (originally scheduled for March 31-April 1) in New York. We are currently looking at potential dates in June for rescheduling and will relay any information to sponsors, speakers, and attendees as soon as the logistics are finalized for our June date.

The decision was made after consulting with our risk management team, as well as reviewing feedback from attendees and sponsors regarding company travel bans, concerns for employee safety, and newly confirmed cases in the New York area.

We continue to hold the safety, health, and well-being of our attendees, speakers, staff, and exhibitors as top priority.

Postponing TPRM New York allows us to ensure our conference proceeds at a later date, without compromise. We feel it best to run the event when everyone feels safe and comfortable traveling and participating in a learning environment.

If you have questions, please contact conferences@complianceweek.com. We look forward to seeing you later this year.

March 3 update: Compliance Week statement on coronavirus

Dear Event Sponsors, Delegates, and Speakers:

Compliance Week is actively monitoring developments related to COVID-19, the novel Coronavirus. At this time, Compliance Week’s 2020 events will continue to run as planned but we are keeping a close eye on government websites to ensure we are up to date on official guidance for both travel and conference attendance. The safety of all of our conference attendees is our top priority.

Please rest assured that we continue to see strong registration leading up to our TPRM Summit from March 31-April 1 in New York City and our National Conference from May 18-20 in Washington, D.C.. We understand that a few organizations have initiated travel policies; at this point, we have seen minimal attendee cancellations as most of our attendees are traveling domestically. Currently, it appears most company travel bans are impacting international travelers.

There are ways you can help ensure a healthy conference experience. Compliance Week will be providing sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer onsite and working with the hotel to make sure the venue is safe. In addition, we will review some simple steps we can take at the conference to keep the exhibit space and attendee interaction as germ free as possible.

We will continue to keep you updated as new developments occur. Our team is here and happy to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about the upcoming conferences email us at conferences@complianceweek.com. We will keep this link updated if things change or any formal travel restrictions are issued by state or local agencies. We hope this information is helpful and reassuring.
