Compliance departments generate value beyond keeping an organization in line with rules and regulations, experts discussed during a panel at Compliance Week’s National Conference in Washington, D.C.
“There is a ton of profit we can unlock,” said Nick Gallo, co-chief executive officer of compliance solutions provider Ethico.
Compliance professionals will have more success in their organizations, including with their boards, by emphasizing the enhanced efficiency and profits resulting from compliance instead of only focusing on risk avoidance, he said.
